Governance Structure



Wallington Primary Academy has a ‘Local Governing Board’, which is effectively a committee of the Trust (Cirrus Primary Academy Trust). The accountability of the academy rests with the Trust, and many responsibilities are delegated to the Local Governing Board.

Wallington’s Board consists of:

  • 2 parent governors
  • 1 Head of School
  • 1 Staff Governor
  • 1 Staff co-opted governor
  • 4 other co-opted governors

Total number of governors: 9

Trustees (including the Executive Head) are able to attend Local Governing Board meetings.

Occasionally there may be a confidential item that will be marked as such and excluded from the public minutes.
