We have just finished our Key Stage 2 sports day! I hope that you enjoyed the changes this year. We felt that it was a good mix of team events and competition and that everyone had a chance to be successful in something with the range of races that were included. Congratulations to all of the children in Yellow house, for being overall winners!
I am really proud of all of the children for their good sportsmanship, team work and resilience today! (Special congratulations go to anyone who fell over and got straight back up to finish their race!!)
Thank you to Noah, in Blue class, for the idea of the water race – you may have seen him collecting donations for the RNLI. Year 2 enjoyed learning about them this year and asked for the opportunity to raise money to help them continue their fantastic work. Thank you for your donations – we will be collecting again at the KS1 sports day!
Thank you for your positive feedback about the day and for coming to support the children – we all really appreciate it! Please take a minute to thank Mrs Burgess for all of her work in organising our sports events – a huge amount of thought, effort and hard work goes into planning any event (and when I received an email from her at 5 o’clock this morning, I knew that she had had a sleepness night, thinking about it all!)
Thank you Mrs Burgess!!
