Year 3 had a fantastic session with the Tate Britain photographer!
The project was launched tlast week, at Tate Britain, revealing the Turner Prize winning artist behind the project to be Steve McQueen, Oscar-winning director of 12 Years a Slave.Follow the links to find out more about the project! https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-london-45548235
Steve features in the brief video on the website https://www.tateyear3project.org.uk/ with Blue Peter’s Radzi Chinyanganya, explaining his vision behind the project to capture tens of thousands of Year 3 schoolchildren in a milestone year in their development and be an epic picture of the city’s present and an intimation of its future.

The photos will be displayed in the Tate gallery for 6 months in 2019, alongside those from hundreds of other schools in the capital. We look forward to visiting to see the whole project next year and using the resources provided by Artangel and A New Direction.
